The Eagle Glove Weight is what pros and colleges have been using for 8 years and is available to both baseball and softball ballplayers . The Glove Weight is a great addition to enhancing the benefit of the Eagle 975, Eagle 1050 and Eagle 11 training models. The glove weight, once put onto the glove, will raise the weight of that training glove to a similar weight of a players game glove, so when a players goes from taking practice with their training glove to their game glove, there will not be any noticeable weight difference. Left off the training glove, a player’s glove work and hand speed will be quicker and help develop their fast twitch muscles , that will make the a better fielder. More then one weight can be added to the training glove to make it “heavier” then their game glove, thus developing strength and increasing the ability to be quicker with their hands when it’s time to use their regular glove for the game. This would be similar to a hitter using a bat donut while on the on deck circle.
The Glove Weight can also be used to put on your own game glove when taking practice ground balls or shagging fly balls during practice to develop strength and quickness. We have MLB organizations using the Eagle Glove Weight along with big time colleges for both baseball and softball players.
The Glove Weight, which consists of a all leather strap with a small pouch that holds a nickel plated piece of steel and is closed with a velcro attachment. It is typically put on the finger as you see in the picture, or on the Eagle 11, can be put on the webbing.
